The Wookey family farm organically in picturesque rolling downland near Pewsey in Wiltshire. They rear free-range organic pigs to the high standards of the Soil Association.
Organic standards for pig production require that the animals have access to pasture, and are fed no routine drugs or any other additives. Animal welfare is very high on the Wookey's agenda, with plenty of space for the animals to roam, and practices such as tail docking or teeth cutting strictly banned in the organic system.
