Vinegars & Mayonnaise

Organic Mayonnaise
Organic French Dressing

Organic Vinegars

Our organic mayonnaise and French Salad dressing are ideal accompaniments to our fresh salad box (click here for details), or our range of prepared salads (click here for details).

Organic Balsamic VinegarOur vinegar range includes cider and wine vinegars, as well as our special balsamic vinegar range. Increasingly seen as essential to fine cooking, balsamic vinegar adds an extra dimension to everything from salads to game dishes to soups - even to fruit desserts.

But all balsamics are not equal! As you'd expect from Organico, our 2 new single estate vinegars are nothing less than authentic artisan products, made exclusively in Modena in Northern Italy, from the reduced juices, or 'must', of the specific grape variety Trebbiano.

And whilst many cheaper Balsamic vinegars are aged in huge vats for as little as 2 months, ours follow the traditional and expensive method of aging in a succession of wooden barrels - each of different hard-wood - for anything up to 25 years. The results of this "labour of love" is a burst of rich, mellow, complex flavours and aromas a world away from the flat vinegar taste associated with many cheaper brands.

Our 250ml reserva di famiglia Balsamic Vinegar is the finest example and is skillfully blended from a selection of vintages, much in the manor of a fine Champagne. Its sweet nuances and depth and roundness of flavour make it a compelling companion to salads and cooked vegetables and is even a fine compliment to fresh strawberries!

Our 500ml "standard balsamic" is a single vintage vinegar, aged for up to 10 years whose more rustic tones in flavour make it is ideal for use with meats, stews, sauces and cheese.

Honeys

We have two types of honey - local wildflower honies and Organic African honey.

Our local honeys are not organic, but are from producers who have hives in remote areas of the Welsh Marches and mid-Wales, away from intensive agriculture where plenty of wild flowers give the honey a distinctive flavour.
