About Us

As you will see elsewhere on this site, Graig Farm was started by Bob & Carolyn Kennard in 1988. We operate from the heart of Wales, and work with a group of organic farmers and food producers in Wales and the Borders. Whilst many people come to us because of the organic nature of our produce, it is our quality which makes them return again and again. We pride ourselves on the quality of all our produce, and in particular our meats. We have been winners or finalists in the Organic Food Awards every year since 1993, as well as other awards fpor the quality of our products and service..

We hope you will decide to judge for yourself, and look forward to hearing from you. If you have any suggestions or comments please email us at sales@graigfarm.co.uk.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse to our Shop, and click add on any items that you wish to buy. This will add them seamlessly to your shopping basket (on the right). After you have finished your selection, click on "Check Out".

Once in the checkout, you will be required to login or register before proceeding to pay for your goods. The Login and Register links can be found on all pages at the bottom right of the may tree header image.

We accept credit card payment. Owing to the nature of our products, logistics and some international trading restrictions on UK meat, we are only able to accept orders from within the UK at present.

We accept Visa and Mastercard, Switch, Delta and Visa affiliated debit cards.

Delivery Schedule

Your order will be despatched for overnight delivery normally within 10 days. We will attempt to contact you by telephone before we send the produce. All our meat, except whole chickens, is vacuum-packed, and all items are individually labelled and priced. The meat is packed in insulated boxes, with ice packs.

Payment and weights

Please note: due to the weighed nature of some of our products (such as meat and fish), and the fact that all our produce is hand-prepared, we do not take payment at the ordering stage. Payment from your card will be taken at the time of despatch, and may vary slightly from the totals given here, due to variations in pack weights.

Prices

We update our online price list approximately every 10-14 days, however, owing to the nature of our products, prices may differ slightly from the published prices (E & OE excepted).

Shipping And Handling

Delivery is free for weekdays, or a flat rate charge of £15.00 for Saturday, to mainland Britain (except parts of Highland Scotland). We have a minimum order of £45.00 to qualify for free delivery. Smaller orders attract a small delivery charge for details please see our Carriage Charges page.

Delivery is normally on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Frozen Produce

Whilst we make every effort to ensure that frozen items remain frozen on delivery, we cannot guarantee this, and cannot be held responsible for any defrosting which may occur en route.

Back Orders

We do not normally back-order out of stock items. Your card will only be debited for the goods that are shipped.

Credit Card Security

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are entered and held on a secure server and are never sent by email. We use Thawte Consulting as our Certification Authority (CA). Thawte Consulting is a recognized CA by 99% of all Internet browsers..

For non-perishable items (from our grocery, non-food and off-licence departments) there is a 7 working-day cancellation period from the day following receipt of produce.
Should you change your mind regarding these items, goods must be returned to Graig Farm, unopened and undamaged. The cost of return can be arranged through Graig Farm, and would be charged at cost. A refund would be made within 30 days.

This cancellation period does not apply to our perishable goods.

Complaints

We trust you never need to complain about our service or produce, and indeed, levels of complaints are low (see our continuing customer questionnaire responses). However, if you have a problem, please telephone 01597 851655, fax 01597 851991 or e-mail : sales@graigfarm.co.uk.

Our complaints procedure is designed to be fair, confidential, effective, easy to use, & available on-line via the e-mail address above. You will be contacted within 5 working days if you have a complaint. We are a relatively small company, and can therefore offer a personal service. Mail order complaints are the normal responsibility of Elaine, but others may deal with individual cases. Our system enables us to speedily remedy a problem once it is brought to our attention. All complaints are recorded and the system checked.
