Robert & Jennifer Adams
Shirley Old Park Farm
Robert and Jennier Adams farm near Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

The 138 acres is a typical organic mixed farm, with Dairy, arable, sheep and beef production.
Jennifer describes their farm:
"A family organic concern - we keep Ayrshire dairy cows, sheep and Galloway beef - situated on the edge of the peak district, where they all graze on clover leys.
The two farms are run by Robert and Jennifer Adams and their offspring - Joanna, Richard, Nicola and Andrew.
In our lamb flock, we have recently started keeping Polled Dorsets, for their early lambs, born mid January. We cross these with a Texel or Charollais ram for the best shape of carcass. These are followed on by our later lambs from Kerryhills, Derbyshire Gritstone and Mules - which are lambed at our other farm in the heart of the peak district, where the Belted Galloway* suckler herd also lives. Fantastic lambs, awesome flavoured beef!"
* The Belted Galloway is now a rare breed, but is distinctive, with a white band around the middle of the animal, which contrasts with the black front and rear.
