Richard Hazell and his family produce organic pigs to Soil Association organic standards at his farm on the edge of the Cotswolds, near the historic market town of Tetbury.
Organic standards for pig production require that the animals have access to pasture, and are fed no routine drugs or any other additives. Animal welfare is very high on Richard's agenda, with plenty of space for the animals to roam, and practices such as tail docking or teeth cutting strictly banned in the organic system.
