A thornless blackcurrant/gooseberry hybrid with a shiny black fruit the size of a small gooseberry. The bushes are very vigorous and resistant to big-bud and foliar diseases. They can grow to over 2.5 metres high so they need to be spaced 2 metres apart. The flower early and so need to be protected from frosts at that time. the fruit makes beautiful jam or jelly. Very high levels of vitamin C. Available mid-November to mid-March.
