Org Aduki beans (dried)(500g)
Aduki beans originate from China and have been heralded as having great nutritional value. They are small, rounded and reddish brown in colour. They have a strong, sweet, nutty flavour, and are popular in a range of dishes including casseroles and loaves. In the Far East they are cooked to a soft consistency, and added to ingredients such as coconut milk. In Japan they are cooked with rice, to impart the reddish colour as in the dish Red-cooked Festival Rice. They are also used in sweet dishes, when cooked with sugar.
