Low Energy Light Bulbs
LOW ENERGY LIGHT BULBS
Our high-quality bulbs are from the long-established manufacturer Memolux. The bulbs will noramlly last 10,000 hours, and normally will switch on/off up to 10,0000 times.
These bulbs are not suitable for use with dimmer switches.
There are four factors to be sure of when buying a low energy bulb:
Size and Shape
There are a number of shapes and sizes of low energy bulbs. The choices are:

Normal Bulb Looks much the same as a normal pearl light bulb and similar in size. This lamp is offered in 2700 (warm white) and 6500 (cool daylight). The 11 watt is 116mm tall, and the 20 watt is 125 mm tall. | Mini Bulb | Tri-tube Dusk to Dawn This sensor lamps can act as a security lamp as it automatically lights up when dusk approaches and switches off it is dawn. Can be used externally in a weatherproof fitting as well as internally. Available in warm light and 15 watt. 127 mm tall. |

Mini Spiral This is the most versatile lamp in the Memolux range because of its unique shape & size. This lamp is offered in all 3 colour temperatures and a choice of 3 wattages. the 11 watt is 110mm tall, the 15 watt is 116 mm, and the 20 watt is 135 mm. | Mini Candle This is a new candle shape from Memolux and is offered in the neutral white only. It is designed for elegant fittings that have may have no shade. 115 mm tall. |
The table below gives the comparative wattages of low-energy and traditional bulbs to give approximately similar levels of light:

Ensure that you chose the correct wattage to give you the correct light output for the function of the light source. If you find the light too dull then increase the wattage or consider changing the colour temperature (see below).

Lighting colour ranges from warm soft light to bright daylight , this is known as colour
temperature and is measured in Kelvins.

DAYLIGHT BULB
In addition to the Memolux range, we offer the Ecozone Biobulb. The BioBulb uses 25 watts, 
and is equivalent to a standard 100 watt bulb. The light emitted closely replicates sunlight, which may improve mood, nighttime sleep and daytime energy. Anyone prone to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or who simply longs for summer may find that its flicker-free white light helps to restore their natural equilibrium. The bulb lasts at least 10,000 hours, or around seven years. Length 100w 13.5cm, 60w 12.5cm. Available in Bayonet fitting.
