John Hughes' farm consists of 850 acres near Dolgellau inNorth Wales. About half is mountain, and the other half is enclosed land.They keep 800 Welsh Mountain ewes and 13 Welsh Black cattle on the farm,which produce grass-fed lambs, and beef which is fattened using their ownhome-grown feed.
They completed organic conversion in February 2001.
John's aim is to farm the land sympathetically withconservation and wildlife.
