James & Mary Yule
Penylan Farm near Monmouth

James and Mary Yule have 153 acres of organic pasture land on their farm which is in the river Wye catchment of south Wales.
They produce pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Murray Grey cattle, as well as Suffolk, Welsh Mule and Lleyn breeds of sheep. They also have a Llama flock and produce organic eggs. They have organic fleeces, which are available through Graig Farm.
The land descends from around 300 feet to a steam (the Nant Wechan). The Yules welcome visitors to this beautiful farm, especially to enjoy the precious wildlife. As they describe the farm : "The landscape is varied and exceptionally beautiful, with paths, streams, ponds a Ruin and views to the Sugar Loaf and the Black Mountains."
They are members of the Tir Gofal environmental scheme and the RSPB farmland bird survey.
