Floor Soap with natural linseed oil
Instructions for use: Add 1 or 2 capfuls to half a bucket of lukewarm water (5 l). Use a floorcloth, mop or scrubbing brush to clean the floor. Let the floor dry. Suitable for all non-treated floors such as tiles, marble, concrete and linoleum.

Toilet Cleaner Pine Fresh
Instructions for use: Squirt a small amount into the toilet and under the toilet rim. Leave to soak for a few minutes. If needed, scrub with the toilet brush. Flush.

Multi-Surface Cleaner
Instructions for use: Economical to use. For all washable surfaces, floors, tiles And painted woodworks. Use 1 to 2 capfuls in half a bucket warm water (about 5 l). For very obstinate stains use the undiluted product and wash off with a soft wet cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth for extra sparkle.

Non Biological Washing Powder
Instructions for use: Ecover Non Biological Washing Powder is recommended for coloureds and is economical to use. For whites and colourfast laundry: add Ecover Ecological Bleach. For a load of normally soiled laundry just add 2/3 scoop (83 ml) per load. Run your machine as per the manufacturers instructions. Increase the dose for heavily soiled laundry and for hard water. Decrease the dose for soft water.

Instructions for use: Ecover chlorine free natural oxygen bleach keeps your whites naturally white, even after several washes. It quickly and effectively removes all kinds of stains like tea, coffee, fruit juice, red wine and grass. To be combined with your Ecover Non Bio washing product (powder or liquid). Add the oxygen bleach to the dosing compartment of your washing machine.

Instructions for use: For machine washing: Pour 1 or 2 capfuls (for extra softness) into the fabric softener dispensing compartment of your washing machine. Run your washing machine as per the manufacturer's instructions. For hand washing: Add to last rinse of your hand wash. Dilute ½ or 1 capful of fabric softener in 5 litres of warm water. (1 capful = 30 ml). Do not put undiluted fabric softener directly onto your laundry.

Detergent-Free Washing System
We have to be honest here and say we're not entirely clear why this works, but in our experience, it does!
Our supplier (the importer, Mike Jack) has been using these discs personally for many years, without detergent, and "they work fine - as long as you don't want whiter than white and are prepared to use stain remover or a presoak on collars etc.".
Here at Graig Farm we have also tried them for a short time and they do indeed seem to work remarkably well. We have cut back the use of detergent by about 80% with very satisfactory results, using the discs.
However, Mike Jack and we think the claims made for the way they work on the current packaging seem implausible - it talks of ionisation of the water etc. Certainly most clothes and washing machines are full of detergent residues, and for some time washing without added detergent will be assisted by these residues. However, Mike Jack's washing machine after many years without detergent still disgorges clean clothes.
Most dirt on clothes is warm water soluble, and most clothes just need "freshening"- getting rid of body odour - and warm water sluiced around in a washing machine does this anyway. There is one study done at the University of Minnesota 10 years ago that produced results showing a better result with discs than plain water alone.
Some washing machines can chew up the outer casing of the disks if this happens we will refund the cost of the discs.
Our conclusions are that everyday detergent use in washing machines can be severely cut back or even eliminated, with the use of these granules. With heavy staining then spot use of detergents would be needed. This saving in the use of washing powder has to be beneficial to both the environment and our pockets!

No harmful chliorine bleaches, dyes or optical brighteners are used.
