Graeme & Lesley Burrowes
Lane Farm, Nr Welshpool, mid-Wales

Lane Farm is part of the Criggion estate and the tenancy was offered to Graeme and Lesley in 1998. It is a traditional 370 acre mixed farm, which was put into organic conversion in 2000, and was entered into The Tir Gofal Environmental Scheme in 2003.
Situated just inside the Welsh Border in Powys, the farm is only 60 meters above sea level and sits on the Severn Valley flood plain having the Breidden Hills as a spectacular 1200ft back drop
The farm livestock consists on 30 single suckler cows and calves, 12 multi suckler cows and their calves, 100 beef cattle, 350 ewes, 4 dogs, a few hens and 2 ponies. We are self sufficient growing approximately 100 acres of cereals which are fed back to the livestock, the remaining land is grass and some fodder crops for winter grazing.
We also run a busy bed and Breakfast, details of which can be found at www.lanefarmbedandbreakfast.co.uk
