Electricity use monitors
Measuring Electricity Use
In trying to save power, and so save money and the damaging effects of CO2 on the environment, it is important to be able to measure electricity use in the home and elsewhere. Studies have shown that, like fuel consumption displays in cars, having information on power use can save up to 20% on electricity bills. We have a range of equipment which can show you just what power your domestic appliances are using.Plug-in meter
The Ecosavers Powermeter plugs into a normal socket, and enables an applaince to be plugged into it. It can therefore accurately measure the power consumption of electrical appliances. The meter displays accurately and precisely how much energy is being consumed, so the user knows immediately the associated cost of running the appliance. It displays votage, current, power (watts), time and costs. It can take a maximum current of up to 16 amps. Wireless Monitors
The Efergy Smart Meter is small and portable, so can be used around the house or office, to give an instant reading of electricity use for individual appliances. The monitor simply clips onto the electricity feed cable of an appliance, and a transmitter send the information to the portable display unit.
The display not only shows instantly the power use, eclectricity cost and personbal carbon footprimnt, but has a unique memory storing daily, weekly and monthly data. It even has a smart alarm warning to the user about over-consumption.

The Wattson
If you want to mionitor the overall power use in your home, then the Wattson is for you! It has a sensor which attaches to the power cable where it enters your electricity meter and fusebox. This transmits wirelessly to the display, which can be anywhere in the house, as long as it is in range (up to 100 meters by air and around 30 meters through walls). It works with any kind of UK electricity meter, single or three phase. The display gives both power consumption (watts) and cost. It even shows results in colour-changing light.
