  • Alistair Sawday's books In 1994, Alastair Sawday moved into publishing guides after ten years of running his own travel company, Alastair Sawday's Tours. This move was a direct result of personal frustration at the robotic nature of the write-ups in guides then on the market - their preoccupation with trouser presses, coat hangers and 'all mod cons'. In rejecting what he saw as the 'clip-board' mentality, his start-up brief was straightforward: to select only those places to stay that were 'special'; and then to present the information in a way that was accessible, honest and, above all, fun to read.
  • How to Store Your Garden Produce by organic smallholder Piers Warren shows how How to Store your Garden Produceto store and preserve your garden produce, enabling you to eat home-grown goodness all year round. The easy to use reference section enables you to quickly look up applicable storage and preservation techniques for the majority of plant produce grown commonly in gardens and allotments.
  • The techniques include • freezing • clamping • hanging • drying • bottling • pickling • and fermenting.

  • Go Make a DifferenceGo Make a Difference. If you care about the environment and aren't sure how to make a positive difference, look no further. Go Make A Difference is full of fascinating facts, thought-provoking statistics and over 500 practical tips to help you go make a difference.
