Organic Single Grain Scotch WHISKY.
The Da Mhile (pronounced Da Vee Lay) whisky from Springbank Distillery is the world's first organic whisky. It was commissioned by Welsh organic farmer John Savage-Onstwedder. The first bottling, from spirit distilled in 1992 was ready for the millennium celebrations - Da Mhile is Gaelic for 2000. It was greeted with wide acclaim.
The production involves no chill filtering - a process which removes much of the flavour, nor the addition of caramel for colouring. It is indeed an entirely natural product, and rather special.
Finest Reserve Port - Casal dos JordoesMulti-award winning port from the only fully-certified organic port producer in Portugal. The vinyard is planted on schistous, split terraces on the steep slopes of the Duoro.
