Wild Boar
Wild boar roamed the British countryside until the 18th century and were often considered the meat of the gentry. Breeding stock from Europe have been used to establish a Wild Boar farming sector in the UK and these are fine examples of pure-bred animals. Wild Boar has a fine, subtle and unique flavour, which some describe as slightly sweet beef-certainly not 'strong pig!
