Poynmg Farm has been in the Bufton Family from the 1960s it is run by father and son Bryan and Steve they first introduced pigs on the farm in 1992. They started with the breed of Large White pigs and then followed with Tamworths in 1996, but with local abattoir preferring the white pig they introduced a pedigree Welsh boar in 2004 to cross with the Large White.
At present the farm has Welsh cross and Saddleback Sows and pedigree Welsh and Duroc boars.
Poyning Farm has been fully organic since April 2006 with 10 breeding sows, 800 sheep and 30 cattle on 250 acres.
