Set on the Shropshire/Mid Wales border in the beautiful Clun Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Brynmawr is a working organic farm within on Environmentally Sensitive Area (organic vegetables subject to availability). The farm is the home of Sue and Trevor Wheeler, who run both cattle and sheep.
Clun Valley
Enjoy peace and quiet with spectacular views, whether sitting in the caravan, walking on the hill top or sitting in the self contained garden having tea!. The farm also includes the Shropshire Wildlife Trust’s Rhos Fiddle Reserve, a beautiful expanse of upland moorland, designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The luxury caravan has Kitchen/diner/lounge with gas fire, colour tv/video, microwave, fridge and gas cooker, shower room, double bedroom with electric fire, twin bedroom and double sofa bed in lounge.
Local Attractions
Local attractions include fishing, walking, tennis, swimming, golf, pony trekking, gliding, flying, and hang gliding - all within 20 miles. Don't forget the bowling green in Newcastle (only 3 miles) and the national trail, Offa's Dyke Path, runs just outside the village.
Day trips
Many areas are within easy distance of the farm : Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons, Longmynd, Elan Valley reservoirs, various coastal resorts, historical Ludlow, Hereford, Shrewsbury, and Bishops Castle. Visit the Ironbridge Gorge Museum at Telford or the Secret Hills biscovery Centre at Craven Arms
Directions
When leaving Clun take the B4368 to Newcastle and Newtown. In Newcastle go past the Crown Inn (on your right) about 50 yards to crossroads. Go straight over crossroads onto minor road signposted Two Crosses/Mainstone. After 2.5 miles turn left at T junction. Brynmawr is 0.5 miles up the hill on the left hand side.
