Hectic on the Farm

RSS

Life on the Farm is little hectic this week.
It has to be said we have never seen grass grow so quick in the last month, though the livestock are doing well despite this horrible weather we are having.
It was lovely to have the Queens jubilee last week. So I took advantage of the roads being quite and put in a new entrance to the farm as lorries where restricted on the old one.
At this time of year we are getting ready for the annual shearing event. In the old days this was a major event, no so anymore.
Forth coming events on the farm are:-

  • Shearing subject to weather
  • Silageing subject to weather
  • Making Hay subject to weather
  • Weaning Lambs

So hang on we shall have great pictures coming.
